Catholic Women of Zion - Chapter 2 Retreat Day - CANCELED!
Due to the threat of spreading Coronavirus, we are taking what we feel is a prudent action in canceling our monthly Catholic Women of Zion Retreat. Due to the fact that some of the ladies joining us are very vulnerable to this virus, we feel this action is necessary to help combat spreading this to family and friends. You are all asked to pray on Saturday morning as this will help keep us all together in the Spirit of the Lord and continue to pray for the good health and well being of all of us.
WE CORDIALLY INVITE YOU TO A CWOZ RETREAT DAY FOR WOMEN.
Eileen Lombardo, OCDS has been president of Catholic Women of Zion Chapter II, since February 22, 1997. She has spoken in northern and central New Jersey at retreats sponsored by Catholic Women of Zion. Eileen has been married for 51 years and has three adult children and five wonderful grandchildren, and they have a little “saint” in heaven.
Eileen became an active member of St. Mary’s in Barnegat in 1973. She joined her husband Earl, who was ordained as a permanent Deacon for the Diocese of Trenton in 1989, in service and ministering to the parish as a CCD teacher, Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist, Pre Cana and Baptismal Prep Classes.
After moving to Lacey Twp. in 1989, they became members of St. Pius the X Church in 2007. In 2006 Eileen completed training for the Diocese of Trenton, and became part of a team teaching our Diaconate Program Listening & Caring Skills.
On October 14, 2012, one of the most humbling moments of her life, she received the Brown Scapular, the Holy Habit of the Discalced Secular Order of Carmelites.
